Thursday April 13, the Linsmore Tavern is extremely excited to welcome back Sixty Cycle Hum for an evening of some great rock covers! Sixty Cycle Hum, have played some fantastic shows over the years and we are always looking forward to having them back and performing some really fun evening of rock covers! This is going to be a fantastic night!
Sixty Cycle Hum was started by three kids from Kingston in the early 90's. The trio gigged around Ontario and opened for acts coming through Kingston at AJ's Hanger, Stages, Muldoon's and other venues through the 90's. Steve, Mike and Tim were known as a Queen's band and continued to play campus bars before moving to Toronto. Over the past decade they have played off and on at corporate events and bars in and around Toronto. Recently they have amped up playing encouraged by their adoration of Can Con like the Tragically Hip and 54-40.
Influenced by the Hip, Petty, U2, the Stones, Oasis and many other classic rock icons, the band seeks to entertain... whether it's dabbling in 50's rock by request, or allowing for the odd crowd based "guest singer", they will ensure everyone watching has a great time and is part of the evening.
Come out and hear the best of The Tragically Hip, 54-40, U2, the Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Oasis, and many many more... including some of their own written when their lives were simple!
The show starts at 8:30pm, there's no cover, so come check out this excellent local band who will rock you!
