The Queen is Dead play The Smiths & The Dead Souls play Joy Division Live at the Linsmore Tavern!Saturday, 04 August 2018 21:30 Linsmore Tavern
On Saturday August 4, fans of British post punk rock music, this is the night for you, as the Linsmore Tavern is welcoming back two incredible Tribute bands who will co-headline this unique night of post punk rock. The Queen is Dead will be playing the music of The Smiths and The Dead Souls will perform the music of Joy Division. Hardcore post punk rock fans cannot afford to miss this rare night of music and this co-headlining show! Both of these bands have performed before at the Linsmore, but never together in a co-headlining night, so we are really looking forward to this evening!
The Queen Is Dead are a tribute to the iconic and highly influential Manchester band The Smiths. Based in Toronto, they have been curating and fine tuning a choice selection of material to please any fan of The Smiths. They return to the Linsmore Tavern bringing with them The Smiths brand of poetic and often wry humoured alternative pop rock.
The Dead Souls are a Guelph based trio that perform and celebrate the intense music of Manchester, UK post-punk legends Joy Division. Almost forty years after the tragic suicide of Ian Curtis the timeless sound of Joy Division still resonates across the ages and the Dead Souls work hard to bring this brilliant music to life on the stage as it was intended.
Tickets for this show are only $5 in advance, $10 at the door! You can purchase tickets at the bar or online at www.linsmoretavern.com
