We Walk The Line a Johnny Cash Tribute Show is Back!!

For the first time in 2014, The Linsmore Tavern is happy to bring back one of our favourites, We Walk The Line!  After a sold out show last summer and playing a night during the ice storm with no power, We Walk The Line brings in a high energy show that really does justice to the amazing career of Johnny Cash!

WE WALK THE LINE is a Musical Tribute to Johnny Cash spanning the entire length of Cash's musical career from the 1950's at Sun Records through to his American Recordings label (2003). The Rockabilly Pioneer, Country Legend and American Poet left his mark upon many millions of fans. This also includes a number of songs with June Carter.

Kayla Howran Live at the Linsmore!!!

Saturday night the Linsmore Tavern is excited to present for the very first time, the very talented and original Kayla Howran!!! Her songwriting is equal parts original and idiomatic, a fresh but faithful interpretation of the genre and proof that classic country doesn’t have to be old, but it does have to be timeless.   Kayla has a rare ability to lean on her influences without imitating them, which lends a genuine quality to her music that is often absent from many of her country contemporaries.  She sings with the conviction of someone who has lived every bit of joy, agony, and heartbreak contained within her songs.  However, it is Kayla’s voice that truly sets her apart.  Powerful enough to rise above the din of a packed hall, yet with a softness that evokes the tender emotions of transfixed onlookers, Kayla controls the mood of the room with the skill of a baton-wielding maestro.  The show starts at 9:30pm and there is No Cover!  Come check out one of Toronto's upcoming original artists!!
