Masters of Love and Sound Back at the Linsmore Tavern!

Thursday September 28th, the Linsmore Tavern is excited to welcome back an incredible 8 piece band that has played some great shows over the last few months, Masters of Love and Sound! Get ready for an incredible night of music, as it's not everyday the Linsmore brings in a 8 piece intricate band! Masters of Love and Sound is an 8-piece Toronto-based band dedicated to exploring new realms of instrumental Funk, Soul, Reggae, Latin and Afrobeat music. Throughout the grooves, the 3-piece horn section (Baritone Sax, Trombone, Soprano Sax/Flute) weaves a fabric of improvised jazz while the percussion players channel the rhythms of Africa and Latin America. The band plays a mix of originals and covers of diverse artists such as The Meters, Augustus Pablo, Fela Kuti, Ray Barretto, Manu Dibango, Willie Bobo and John Coltrane. The shows include a video projection backdrop with VJ, Bruce La Becker, mixing up a visual jam to accompany the funky sounds. Warning: Side effects may include lightfeetedness and a compulsion to dance! The show starts at 8pm, there's no cover!
