Hatchetmen are Back!!

Friday night, we welcome back one of our favourite bands, Hatchetmen for a night of Bourbon inspired Rock'n'Roll with some virtuoso instrumentals and fun, original lyrics!  These guys have played a ton of shows at the Linsmore Tavern and it's always an awesome party with a lot of people!!!  The Hatchetmen is an incredible original band with a very unique sound!  With a country/rock sound that is influenced by Steve Earle! So drink some bourbon, head down to the Linsmore on a Friday night and check out this incredible 4 piece original band who will put on an amazing instrumental performance!  The show starts at 9:30pm, $5 cover at the door, this is going to be great!! Tom Waits Appreciation Congregation this Thursday Night!

This Thursday night, the Linsmore Tavern is bringing back the Tom Waits Appreciation Congregations for a night dedicated to Tom Waits!  This is one of our most popular bands and have created a great following!! These guys put on an incredible show and you will definitely not regret coming out to see their show!  Usually the TWAC, play once a month on a Tuesday night, but this month we have moved them over for a special Thursday night show!

The Tom Waits Appreciation Congregation (TWAC) comprise of some of the best musicians in all of Toronto coming together for their love of Tom Waits and paying Tribute to him and his music! Every show they play at the Linsmore Tavern is a huge success and an extremely fun night!  This Tuesday it will surely be the same!  No Cover, the show starts at 9pm!

Tuesday July 7th Indie Tuesday's sponsored by Steam Whistle Breweries and with support from Amsterdam Breweries, Canada Rocks Media, Steve's Music, IndieCan Radio, and Meg-A-Music Toronto, will have our inaugural show at the Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave) at 8pm! This is going to be such a special night as we have 3 incredible bands, Smokey And The Bloozehounds, Symphony of Nine and our featured act the Legendary Producer, Singer/Songwriter, 3 time Grammy Award Winner, Chris Birkett! It's not too often that you get to see a Grammy Award Winner perform, you'll get to see that with No Cover this Tuesday Night

Symphony of Nine is a Rock'n'Roll Indie Band who released their album Mixtape in October of 2014!  Be ready for a Hard-hitting, Brit-inspired power rock with a dash of synth. An energetic live show that is decidedly NOT background music

Smokey & The Bloozehounds are a 3 piece rock/blues band from Toronto, Ontario that are on the rise. Featuring Smokey - Lead Vocals / Bass / Acoustic Guitar. Andrew Johnston - Lead Guitar / Vocals / Bass. Colin Johnston - Drums / Percussion / Vocals.

Chris Birkett is a multi talented music producer, sound engineer, musician, lyric writer and composer...a unique, visionary artist...His journey as an artist and his life are intimately connected and bear witness to his vision of a better world to come. His music productions and collaborations have sold more than one hundred million records and earned him three Grammy Awards for excellence in the music business. He rapidly became a producer in his own right working with artists such as: Sinead O'Connor, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Alison Moyet, Dexys Midnight Runners, Talking Heads, The Pogues, Bob Geldof, Mel Brooks, Siedah Garrett, Steve Earle, Ali Amran, Alain Chamfort, René Lacaille, Talitha Mac Kenzieetc…In 1993, he moved to France and opened a studio in Bordeaux where he collaborated with many international and world music artists; at the same time, he returned to the stage to promote his first album "Men from the sky". The extract "Where do we go from here" was included in the humanitarian album "One Voice, One Love" on Polygram records In 2009, he recorded his own second album "Freedom" featuring Tony Visconti, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Marc Berthoumieux andAndré Ceccarelli.

This is going to be a very special night as it is kicking off Indie Tuesdays, which will give the opportunity to many Indie Bands to showcase their talents!  You definitely want to be a part of this historical first night that will be the most happening bar in Toronto for live music on Tuesday Nights! No Cover, the show starts at 8pm!

 

The Doors Men: Tribute To The Doors Return to the Linsmore Tavern!!!

Get ready, because the Linsmore Tavern has the Doors Men who are Canada's BEST Tribute to The Doors!! There has been a ton of requests to bring The Doors Men who are the best Doors Tribute, back to the Linsmore Tavern and we just couldn't ignore it!  Earlier this year in February, The Doors Men came into the Linsmore Tavern and absolutely tore it up in front of a sold out crowd!! It was without a doubt one of the best shows in the history of the Linsmore Tavern!  They are back at the Linsmore Tavern for the 4th of July and you better believe there will be some fireworks when they hit the stage!

The Doors Men, covering almost two decades of music from one of the greatest bands who inspired generations and still do, with their mystical melodies and poetry to their grinding R&B roots.  Featuring select albums and covering great hits. It's hard to have a 60's Month without having the unforgettable music of the Doors being included!  Between 1967 to 1971, the Doors released 8 albums which The Doors Men will cover!!
